9 degrees colder on the summit than on the base, with an average temperature of 0.3 degrees centigrade

Battered by 261 gales

Clearest during April

Drenched in 4.35 metres of rain per year, compared with only 2.05 metres in Fort William. (The rainfall on Ben Nevis is 17 times the average London rainfall)!
